Happy 80th Birthday Mom!

image The Glass clan are arriving in droves from all over the U.S. to help us celebrate mom’s 80th birthday. People are headed to airport to shuttle incoming family to Redmond. By tonight they will all be here. Bertie Dugger Glass’ birthday is actually later in the week, but we are celebrating it Sunday. And mom will be singing in the church choir too.

Born in San Diego, mom met dad at a Presbyterian Youth camp in Illinois. She was the camp nurse and dad was a counselor. They delight in telling us how their 55+ year union almost didn’t happen. Maybe we should make a movie of their summer. Oh wait, that has been done, many times.

Happy Birthday mom.

  1. Beautiful picture! And happy birthday to your mom!

  2. Your mother’s a beautiful lady. My own mother is 94 this year. I’ve begun getting on her case about writing a bio of her life. The family would find it precious.
