Nude du Jour

As an artist, a man, and an educated human being, I really like the DOMAI site and have been encouraged to share yet another photo or two from that site. Enjoy.

I do wanna say that youth is really wasted on the young. Along those lines, my friend Wolfie waxes poetic in this post called Getting Naked.

It occurs to me how infrequently we get naked once we’re no longer kids. Sure, if you’re a nudist, you get naked on a regular basis. Naturally, we get naked when we bathe.

imageBut what about bed time, sliding under the sheets with the one we love? Do we leave the lights on and linger? Do we get naked without shame or fear of scrutiny? Without our own judgment?

Most likely if you’re a woman – regardless of how you look – you get naked with trepidation – with your partner, and possibly with yourself. Anyone care to offer a differing experience?

I’d love to be wrong.

When’s the last time you didn’t admonish yourself for some perceived flaw? For not looking the way you did before the holidays, before two kids, before the age of 30? When’s the last time you looked, just to get comfortable – and maybe to say – not so bad?

  1. Gandalfe, You sweetheart. And DOMAI is a lovely site. They were kind enough to allow me to use images in my 2009 post on nudity, referenced in the Getting Naked post.

The human form is a work of art, and an extraordinary (albeit fragile) machine. It would be nice if we could appreciate both aspects of ourselves, wouldn’t it?

You are welcome. I check your blog many times a week. :0)

Note that the DOMAI site has been sold. Eolake is no longer there.
