Rain in the Emerald City

rain So much rain, lovely to listen to, a delight to the plants, and doing it’s best to make walking the dawg interesting. I understand when friends bemoan the passing of Summer. But to hate the life affirming rain, that goes a step too far for me.

The Emerald City (aka Seattle) and surrounds is having a record year of rain. The duck pond is back to it’s almost full glory. I saw a survey last week that I should have saved. Much like this Slashdot poll, it showed that Americans love the Fall months.

So I’m sittin’ in my home office this weekend, with the dawgly sleeping at my feet, a cup o’ joe, some nice soft jazz in the background, and the sound of rain, pitter-patting it’s way into my brain. Life is good.
